Okay, I’m too tired to go into the details more than once. So if you want to find out more about what Word on the Street is and what I did there, go HERE
Things I bought at Word on the Street:
1 tote bag
3 buttons
the graphic novel version of Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter
a book of Boris Vallejo art
a book on palmistry
5 Silhouette Nocturnes
3 back issues of the New Quarterly Canadian Writers & Writing
also, about $7 went to various buskers
Things I got for FREE at Word on the Street:
5 buttons
2 tote bags
1 signed copy of Margaret Moore’s A Lover’s Kiss
6 magazines
15 book marks
1 magnet
30 leaflets and brochures
1 vinyl album of classical music
10 extremely large poems (the poems are short but they’re the same size as the TTC used to display on their buses)
1 near-miss with heat exhaustion
Add to that a free light fixture for my dining room and a bag of books from my BFF and it was an extremely good day!
